Psalm and Proverbs

These verses on Psalm 71 struck me because so often we put our trust and faith in other humans, and are disappointed when they let us down. From these verses, I was able to see and understand God is the one true STRONG refuge. He alone is worthy to be trusted and praised. "Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day. Psalm 71:8

Lately, I've been struggling to work through some deep negative feelings regarding a situation I found myself in before Christmas. After reading this verse and reflecting upon it, I realize that very small mistakes can turn into full fledged disasters, if given the opportunity. As usual, I need to meditate first and speak with wisdom later. It is a daily struggle for me. I tend to open my mouth more than I listen. I am hoping with lots of prayer this will change.
